This matcha green tea pancake recipe is easy to make and there are many different ways to liven it up as well. You can go the healthy route by adding fresh fruit and nuts or you can go the sweet route by adding chocolate chips and whip cream! 1. Mix flour, matcha, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Slowly pour in pour in the egg, milk and oil. Mix until the batter is smooth. Using an electric beater will ensure the matcha is completed blended into the batter.
2. Heat a lightly greased frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the hot pan, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown until the surface is covered in little bubbles and flip to brown the other side for an additional one to two minutes.
3. Top the pancakes with fresh fruit, a pat of butter and maple syrup. Enjoy!
